This site was created in February 2014 by Swapna Musunur, Christine Vanek, Dominik Fleifel, Matt Burns, and Erica Hernandez-Barba to document and share their work studying health in Peru. The project was completed as part of a Strategy course at the Stephen M Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
The information on this site is drawn from primary and secondary research, including firsthand information from site visits to NGOs, government agencies, and hospitals in Lima and Cuzco, Peru.

Project objective
Our work focuses on describing the health environment, health systems, and accessibility to healthcare in Peru. Through online research and site visits, we explore the various access points to healthcare services in Peru with a focus on public, private, and traditional/indigenous methods of health care delivery . Access, affordability, and quality of service are themes informing our analysis.
Because we are conducting this work through a business school course, a second objective of our project includes an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Peru's current systems with attention to areas with business opportunities for growth.
